SEYI OLOFINJANA

Seyi Olofinjana is a retired Nigerian football international, who had 48 international caps for the Super Eagles of Nigeria between 2002 and 2010. He was a part of the Super Eagles team that won bronze in the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations in Angola. Played his club football in Norway, and in the English Premier League with Stoke City and in the English Championship with clubs like Wolverhampton Wanderers and Hull City.

Seyi, who also holds a degree in chemical engineering, finished playing football and went straight into coaching and scouting, integrated into the coaching setup of Wolverhampton Wanderers FC as Loan Pathway Manager, leaving to become Sporting Director of FC Grasshoppers in Zurich, and only recently was appointed Head of Scouting in charge of Africa at Premier League club, Chelsea FC.

Very passionate about Nigeria, determined and very hopeful of seeing positive change to the running and administration of sport in the country, he wants to use his wealth of experience and knowledge to drive that change and inspire the next generation to be winners, while keeping in sight, their academic progress as a good fall-back.
